Costa Rica to host CONCACAF futsal qualifying
Costa Rica will play host to the second CONCACAF Futsal Championships that will qualify two regional teams to the Fourth FIFA Futsal World Championships in Guatemala between 18 November and 3 December.

Dates of the preliminary competition will be announced later but are tentatively scheduled for the first week of July and will be played in San Jose, Costa Rica. (source: CONCACAF) 
Draw of African preliminaries for the World Futsal Championship
The draw of the World Futsal Championship African preliminaries was held on 17th January in Accra and gave the following groupings:
  • Group 1: Egypt, Mozambique, South Africa, Cameroon
  • Group 2: Ghana, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria.
The fixtures of the matches which will start on 16 April 2000 will be made at a later date. (source: CAF)
