Number of Players on Team or Club Rosters
(a) Maximum
Number
No team shall be
permitted to have more than twelve (12) registered active playing members at
any one time. In figuring the maximum number of players, there shall not be
included players under an indefinite suspension or players on the retained list
of the team or club who have not observed the rules of the United States Futsal
Federation. Teams and clubs, however, shall still retain their claims on the
services of such players unless released, and if any suspended player is
reinstated and if any player observing the rules of the United States Futsal
Federation is again signed for his team or club, he shall be considered an
active player and included in the list of players which the team or club is
entitled to carry.
(b) Minimum
Number
No state
association or league may affiliate a club or organization that does not
operate a team in a league under its jurisdiction, such team to consist of not less
than six (6) players playing in actual competition.
(c) Registration
Once a player is
registered for one team he may not switch to another teams if the regular
season has began. The exception to this rule is if the player moves to the
territory of another State Association.
1102. Player Status - Amateur or Professional
Under the rules
of this Federation, players are either amateur or professional as defined in
this section.
(a) An amateur player is any person who engages in the play of the sport of Futsal as a pleasurable and worthwhile leisure time activity for which he/she receives no re-numeration, except for expenses he/she incurred directly for taking part in said competition or event. The USFF eligibility rules shall not be more restrictive than those eligibility rules set forth by the international governing body FIFA.
(b) A
professional player is any person other than an amateur player.
